Hope you’re all having a great weekend! I finally finished up Christmas shopping yesterday and got some wrapping done this morning while watching The Family Stone.
After church this morning, I swung by TJ’s and picked up some ingredients to make pizza tonight!
Speaking of a TJ’s win, my final Secret Santa gift included TWO bottles of TJ’s wine. I was so pumped since our grocery stores don’t sell wine and I can’t buy the $2 goodness on the reg. So that was definitely a good start to the weekend!
Friday evening, Brent and I ventured to Carrabba’s since I had a gift card from my birthday. The food was good but not worthy of photographs, so here’s a picture of my champagne instead!
Saturday morning, I woke up with plans for a long run (I realized I’m running a half marathon in about a month, oops!). I ended up running 10 miles. I rarely plan how far I’m going to run, so when I ran out of water around mile 6, I lucked out and a local sporting goods store, Athlete’s House, saved me with this:
Such a great idea since there are so many runners in that area on the weekends! They even had a dog water bowl too:) I think listening to Serial made me run further, too.
After my run, I cleaned up and headed out to finish Christmas shopping. First, I thawed out with a grande misto from Starbucks
I avoided purchasing anything for myself at lululemon (high five!) and then met up with Brent for lunch at Kay Bob’s. This place is amazing. I had a flatbread sandwich with blackbean hummus and a side of their homemade sweet potato chips
Saturday afternoon, I went to see my brother in Cool Springs. I needed beer to refuel from my run, obviously, so Cool Springs Brewery hit the spot.
Why they serve them with honey mustard and not cheese dip is beyond me. I’m over it. We finished up there, and I was off to a Christmas party! They even had a nice wrapping paper backdrop for pictures #bloggersdream
Back to the PIZZA!! I may or may not have used an empty wine bottle as a rolling pin. Quinoa Pesto base (and Christmas socks!).
I’m really looking forward to being home for Christmas (especially since I missed Thanksgiving)! I haven’t been back to Memphis since October, so I’m ready to be back and see everyone:) Have a great night!
What are your plans for the holidays/Christmas?
Have a good run this weekend? Or a bad one??
Adding egg to your pizza.. Yay or nay?
