HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hope your 2015 is off to a great start. I worked today but had a good looking guy deliver this lunch to me!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3496.jpg I made it until about 10:30 last night before dozing off. Brent and I went to a friend’s for a low-key night with snacks and games!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3487.jpgWe were instructed to wear either pajamas or something comfortable, so I was all in for that!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3484.jpgSee that game over there, Loaded Questions? It was fun, and I must own it someday. I sipped on my baby cans of champagne throughout the night since I had to work today(LOOK AT THE ADORABLE STRAW)

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3480.jpg…But then I drank 4 of them, oops!

My NYE outfit looked quite similar to my workout clothes from yesterday morning…

This is one of my favorite workout tops (I have it in 3 colors now) and just got this one on sale for $29!! I completed the Post-Christmas Calorie Burner workout from Muncher Cruncher (<– her workouts are so tough! please move to Nashville and be my trainer/BFF!!). It involved traveling burpees and tuck jumps… So I felt the 4 champagnes were justified :)

2014 was a great year that brought a lot of changes. I’m so lucky to have 14 favorite memories to share with you tonight! These highlights occurred before I started blogging (starting a blog was a highlight, too!), so pour a glass of wine and hop into the Pensieve with me.

1. Grizzlies Games

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_0571.jpgSome of my friends and I purchased game packs earlier this year.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_0974.jpgI have so many fond memories from this time… Being downtown Memphis (no, I didn’t witness any crime scenes) and being in the energy-filled FedEx Forum made me so, so happy.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_0624.jpgI miss going to games SO much but will hopefully make it to some games this spring.

2. Suzi’s Engagement
My sister getting engaged was such a special time for my whole family. Her fiancé surprised her with a trip to DC (where they met), and we were able to FaceTime with them right after it happened!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3503.jpgLOVE THEM!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_0867.jpgI am so excited for their wedding this June. They are so perfect for each other, and I can’t wait for all the celebrations and MOH duties to come.

3. Charleston Trip

I visited Charleston, SC for the first time in May. I’ve always wanted to go.. Such a beautiful city!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1307.jpgI went for my friend Caitlin’s bachelorette party.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1621.pngWent to two different beaches

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1615.jpgAnd threw a fun Memphis-themed brunch

4. New Orleans Wedding
My friends Aimee and Matt got married in her hometown of New Orleans in June.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1821.jpgI used to live with Aimee, and Matt is a good friend from high school. Their wedding was absolutely perfect! It was also a good weekend to spend some time with some of my closest friends before moving to Nashville!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1794.jpgEven got to experience a real Second Line!! So cool.

5. Phone Calls with Brent
Brent and I had met several years ago (like, 10, wow), but it wasn’t until this past June that we got reacquainted. A mutual friend reconnected us, and while I was in Memphis and he was in Nashville, we talked on the phone several times before I found out I was moving. I was so nervous before the first phone call, but I started looking forward to our chats so much! And look what I got out of those phone calls…

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_1701.jpgLove him!

6. Moving to Nashville

I had lived in Memphis my entire life until this past July when I took a huge leap of faith and moved! Although I get homesick from time to time, I am so happy with my decision and am proud of myself for branching out… I have definitely grown a lot through this experience!

7. Caitlin’s Wedding

I went back to Memphis for Caitlin and Hunter’s wedding in August. I was a bridesmaid and had a blast seeing all of my friends again!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2144.jpgCaitlin is one of my best friends since high school, so it was very special to be a part of her big day! Plus, I got to introduce Brent to my friends, and he fit riiiiight in.

8. Women’s Running Half Marathon

I decided to sign up for this race about a week in advance, and I’m so glad I did!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2372.jpgBrent was such a good sport and cheered me on the whole way!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2376.jpgThe weather was perfect, and I had a pretty decent race even though I hadn’t fully trained.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2367.jpgOh, and the mimosa bar after wasn’t the worst :)

9. My 10 Year High School Reunion

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2303.pngWhat a fun weekend. It got a little crazy but it was fun catching up with people!

10. Halloween in Birmingham
So…. Brent and I surprised my sister and her fiancé by showing up dressed like this on Halloween

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2568.jpgBest costumes ever. It was fun wearing them to rest stops and gas stations on the way to Birmingham. Bucking seat belts proved to be quite tricky though

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2566.jpgDid you know giraffes LOVE pizza??

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2562.jpgAnd once we finally got out of costume, we went to a restaurant based primarily on grilled cheeses. AMAZING.

11. Savannah Trip

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2620.jpgBrent and I took a trip to Savannah (got to visit both sister cities this year!) for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon! Again, it was so nice having Brent there to support me and cheer me on… And we got to spend some time exploring the city too/eating and drinking a lot!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2611.jpg The course was beautiful and FLAT, so I loved it! And I got to eat a slice of pizza that was bigger than my head (which isn’t small).

12. Dad’s 60th Birthday
My family and I got together and planned a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad! He does so much for all of us and is always the life of the party, so it was a lot of fun planning something special for him!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2926.jpgWe were so thrilled that the ENTIRE side of his family showed up… Lots of people love this guy!!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_2932.jpgAnd we got a family keg, duh.

Here it is! I’ve really enjoyed blogging so far. I always look forward to posting, and I appreciate everyone who has read it and supported me so far! I’m looking forward to learning more and growing the blog this year.

14. Christmas

This year’s Christmas was extra special, since it was my first time actually “going home” for a holiday. It was wonderful and relaxing spending time with my family!

I hope you enjoyed the recap as much I enjoyed writing it and recalling all of these fun memories (or maybe it was the wine??)

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_3501.jpg(This is my favorite wine. I can’t find it at many liquor stores, but Brent found it somewhere and gave it to me for Christmas!).

I hope in 2015 you’re as happy as a corgi doing a handstand!!

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/92c/79404051/files/2015/01/img_0786.jpg(it’s real. I witnessed it once.)
